Steven Greenberg, former executive director of the Vilna Shul in Boston, is looking for people who have stories they would like to tell about being Jewish in Hull. He will be collecting these stories and putting them online and available through the Temple Israel of Nantasket website as well as his newest project, The Jews of Nantasket Beach.
The stories, either written or oral histories, will help us provide a foundation for additional research into this most important part of the Jews in America story.
So if you prayed at Temple Israel, or Temple Beth Sholom, you had a great time at Nantasket Youth Center, or you were just Jewish in Hull with a great story, please contact [email protected]
Visit www.jewsofnantasket.com to join in on the conversation! The website is still under construction, so until then, this link takes you to our Facebook page.

Summer 2014
Summer 2013 was arguably one of our best summers at the shul. We had not two, but three Friday night Shabbat community dinners. We welcomed new families to our community. We started a weekly e-mail for members. We hosted three Torah study discussions lead by Rabbi Moshe Lieberman. We had our worship information posted in the local paper for the first time accompanied by our first news article in years. Together we celebrated simchas, a sense of community, and the wonderful smell of salty air. We had the opportunity to listen to D'var Torahs given by prominent members of the Jewish community. We delighted in the spirit of summer and indulged in kugel and bagels. We listened to Torah readers and cantors who led services with the kind of spirit that can only be found at Temple Israel of Nantasket.
